Looking for images you've previously created with BeFunky's Image Generator? Every AI-generated image is automatically saved to your BeFunky account under Image Generations in your Image Library.
You can find and view your saved AI-generated images, reuse them in new projects without additional credits, download them to your computer, or delete images you no longer need. This guide also explains how to create new versions of previous generations, manage your image storage, and access your images after your subscription ends.
This guide explains how to find and manage your AI-generated images, reuse them without additional credits, and understand image storage limits and retention.
Where to Find Your Image Generations
Your previously generated images are stored under Image Generations in your Image Library, separate from images you've manually saved to BeFunky.
To access your saved generations:
Step 1: Open Image Generator from the Photo Editor, Graphic Designer, or Image Manager.
Step 2: Select Image Generations to view your previously created images.
Step 3: Browse your saved images. Your newest generations appear at the top.
Select an image to view it and access the available options for editing, saving, or reusing it.
Important Note: Images created with Image Generator are automatically saved and set to Private. They do not appear on your My Photos page.
Reuse a Previously Generated Image
You can reuse an image you've already generated without creating another image or using additional Image Generator credits.
Step 1: Open Image Generator, then select Image Generations.
Step 2: Select the image you want to reuse.
Step 3: Choose the available option based on where you're working:
- Open in Editor: Open the image in the Photo Editor to continue editing.
- Add to Image Manager: Add the image to your Image Manager for use in a design or another project.
- Add to Batch: Add the image to your current batch when working in a supported Batch workflow.
Pro Tip: You can also reuse multiple generated images at once. Select Select, choose the images you want, then select Add to Image Manager or another available option.
Important Note: Viewing, downloading, or reusing an existing image does not use additional credits. However, selecting Generate to create a new image or variation uses credits according to your subscription.
Create a New Version of a Previous Generation
You can use a previously generated image as the starting point for creating something new. There are two ways to create another version: from the full Image Generator window or directly from your Image Generations library.
Option 1: Create an Image in the Full Image Generator Window
This option opens your selected image in the larger Image Generator window, where you can adjust its settings and preview your new creation.
Step 1: Open Image Generations and select the image you'd like to use.
Step 2: Click the Image Generator button to open the image in the full Image Generator window.
Step 3: Update the prompt, change the Aspect ratio, or adjust Variation.
Step 4: Select Generate to create a new image.
Your new image will appear in the larger preview and will automatically be saved under Image Generations.
Option 2: Create an Image Directly From Image Generations
This option lets you create another version without leaving your Image Generations library. Your new image appears as a smaller thumbnail alongside your other saved generations.
Step 1: Open Image Generations and select the image you'd like to use.
Step 2: With the image selected, you can view its existing prompt and generation settings.
Step 3: Update the prompt, change the Aspect ratio, or adjust Variation.
Step 4: Select Generate to create a new image.
Your new image will automatically be saved and displayed as a thumbnail within Image Generations, alongside your other generated images.
Important Note: Both options create a new image and use 5 credits per generation for accounts using Image Generator credits. Reusing an existing image without generating another one does not use additional credits.
Download Your Generated Images
You can save copies of your generated images directly to your computer.
Download a Single Image
Step 1: Open Image Generations.
Step 2: Select the image you want to download.
Step 3: Select Save to download it to your computer.
You can also hover over an image thumbnail and use its save option.
Download Multiple Images
Step 1: Select Select in Image Generations.
Step 2: Choose the images you want to download.
Step 3: Select Save.
Your selected images will download together as a ZIP file.
Pro Tip: Download images you want to keep permanently, particularly if you're approaching your storage limit or your subscription is ending.
Delete Image Generations
You can remove individual images or delete several generations at once to clean up your Image Generations library.
Delete a Single Image
Step 1: Open Image Generations.
Step 2: Select the image you'd like to remove.
Step 3: Select Delete.
You can also hover over an image thumbnail and use its delete option.
Delete Multiple Images
Step 1: Open Image Generations and select Select.
Step 2: Choose each image you want to remove. Select an image again to deselect it.
Step 3: Select Delete to remove the selected images.
Important Note: Deleted images are removed from Image Generations in your Image Library and cannot be recovered. Download any images you'd like to keep before deleting them.
Clearing an Image vs. Deleting It
The Clear and Delete options work differently:
- Clear: Removes the current image from the Image Generator preview and clears the prompt box. The generated image remains saved under Image Generations.
- Delete: Removes the generated image from your saved Image Generations library.
If you only want to start writing a new prompt, choose Clear rather than deleting an image you'd like to keep.
Image Generation Storage Limits
Your generated images are automatically stored in your BeFunky account. The number of images you can keep depends on your subscription.
- BeFunky Plus: Store up to 5,000 generated images.
- BeFunky Pro: Store up to 10,000 generated images.
When your Image Generations library reaches its storage limit, creating another image automatically removes the oldest generation to make room for the new one.
To avoid losing images you want to keep, download them to your computer before reaching your storage limit.
What Happens to Image Generations When Your Subscription Ends?
If your paid BeFunky subscription ends, your previously generated images remain available to view and download for 90 days.
During this period, you can access your saved generations, but you cannot create new images unless you have an eligible active subscription or generation allowance.
After 90 days, your Image Generations library is removed.
Important Note: If your subscription is ending, download any generated images you'd like to keep before the 90-day retention period expires.
