How Image Generator Credits Work with BeFunky Plus

BeFunky Plus subscriptions include 1,000 Subscription Credits each month specifically for creating images with Image Generator. These Plus credits can be used whenever Image Generator appears across BeFunky, including when you access it from other tools and workflows.

Each newly generated image uses 5 credits. This article explains how Image Generator credits work with BeFunky Plus, where you can use them, when they refresh, and what happens when you need additional credits.

How Many Image Generator Credits Are Included With BeFunky Plus?

Every active BeFunky Plus subscription includes 1,000 Subscription Credits per month for use with Image Generator. Monthly and Yearly Plus subscriptions receive the same monthly credit allowance.

Subscription Credits refresh automatically:

  • Monthly Plans: Credits refresh with each monthly billing cycle.
  • Yearly Plans: Credits refresh monthly based on your Plus subscription start date.

Where Can I Use My Plus Image Generator Credits?

Plus Subscription Credits can only be used to create images with Image Generator. Your credits can be used wherever Image Generator appears in BeFunky.

You can access Image Generator from:

  • Photo Editor: Open Image Generator from the Open menu under New Image.
  • Graphic Designer: Open Image Generator from the Open menu under New Design.
  • Image Manager: Select the Image Generator button to create a new image for your project.
  • Background Remover: Use Image Generator to create a custom AI-generated replacement background.
  • Sky Replacer: Use Image Generator to create a custom replacement sky.
  • Batch Classic Editor: Access Image Generator when adding images to your batch.
  • Batch AI Editor: Access Image Generator when adding images to your batch.
  • Batch Background Remover: Access Image Generator when adding images to your batch.

No matter where you open it, creating a new image with Image Generator uses your Image Generator credits.

Important Note: BeFunky Plus credits are Image Generator credits only. They cannot be used to process images with Batch AI Editor or Batch Background Remover. Those processing tools require a BeFunky Pro subscription and use Pro credits separately. If you open Image Generator from one of these Batch tools, credits are used only when you generate a new image with Image Generator.

How Image Generator Credits Are Used

Each newly generated image uses 5 credits.

You can change your prompt, Aspect ratio, or Variation without using credits. Credits are only used when you select Generate and a new image is created.

If the requested image variation has already been generated, a notification will appear and no additional credits will be used.

Viewing, selecting, or saving an existing image from Image Generations does not use additional credits.

Pro Tip: Make all intended changes to your prompt, aspect ratio, and variation before selecting Generate. Each newly generated image uses 5 credits, so generating a separate image after every adjustment will use additional credits.

Which Credits Are Used First?

Your monthly Subscription Credits are used first. Once your Subscription Credits are exhausted, any available Top-up Credits are used automatically.

Need More Image Generator Credits?

If you use all of your monthly Subscription Credits before they refresh, you can purchase additional Top-up Credits from your Account Page.

Top-up Credits are available to active BeFunky Plus and Pro subscribers.

Image Generator Credit Usage Example

You enter a prompt, choose Square (1:1) as the aspect ratio, and select Generate. You then create two additional images by changing the aspect ratio and variation in separate generations.

Action Credits Used
Generate the first image. 5 credits
Change the Aspect ratio and generate a new image. 5 additional credits
Change the Variation and generate another new image. 5 additional credits
Total: 3 new images 15 credits

Pro Tip: Changing both the aspect ratio and variation before generating one new image uses 5 credits total. Generating a separate image after each change creates two new images and uses 10 credits.
