Make Designer Templates Your Own

Hopefully you've had a chance to explore some of our awesome Graphic Designer templates. But maybe you found yourself wanting to use some of your own content in the template. Follow along to see how to customize BeFunky's templates to make them your own.

Step 1: Open the Graphic Designer and choose a template. Or, open an existing project that you would like to customize.

Step 2a: Add any imagery you want to use into the Image Manager

Step 2b: Click on the image you'd like to use the Image Manager, then drag it to hover over the part of the template you want to replace. As you hover over an image area, you'll see it highlighted in blue. This means the image you've selected will replace the current image on the canvas.

Step 2c: Another option to replace an image is to select the image on canvas. Once selected, an Image Properties menu will open on the left. Click Replace to choose an image from your device to replace the current image. You will also see a Cutout button for quick access to the Cutout tool.

Pro Tip: If you click on a layer and notice that you are unable to select and edit it, the layer may be locked. Go to the Layers & Groups tab in the bottom navigation bar and click on the lock icon next to the layer name to unlock it.

Step 3: From the Image Properties menu, you can make several quick edits to the image layer. If you'd like to make more advanced edits, click Open the Image in Editor to access the full Photo Editor. You can make any necessary edits apply them, then head back to the Designer to see your design with the updated image. Additionally, you can double-click on an image to enable on-canvas cropping.

Step 4: To change demo text, simply select the text you'd like to change and add your own. You can customize the text in the Text Properties menu.

Step 5: Once you have all your content added, click the Save menu to save your project and share it with the world!
