BeFunky's Batch Editing tools let you work with multiple images in a single workflow. With Image Generator, you can create custom AI-generated images directly from Batch and add them to your current batch without leaving the Batch workspace.
Image Generator can be accessed from Batch Classic Editor, Batch AI Editor, and Batch Background Remover. You can generate new images from a text prompt or add images you've already created from Image Generations, then continue editing them with the selected Batch tool.
Batch Classic Editor is available with BeFunky Plus and Pro. Batch AI Editor and Batch Background Remover require a BeFunky Pro subscription. View BeFunky subscription options.
Open a Batch Tool
Step 1: Open the Photo Editor and select Batch at the top.
Step 2: Choose the Batch tool you want to use:
- Batch Classic Editor: Apply standard edits across multiple images.
- Batch AI Editor: Apply supported AI-powered edits and Artsy effects across multiple images.
- Batch Background Remover: Remove and replace backgrounds across multiple images.
Open Image Generator From Batch
Step 3: Select Add Images.
Step 4: Select Image Generator.
Image Generator will open within your current Batch workflow so you can create an image and add it directly to your batch.
Create an AI-Generated Image
Step 5: Enter a prompt describing the image you want to create. Your prompt can contain up to 1,000 characters, and you can also copy and paste text directly into the prompt box.
Start with the main subject or scene, then add details that are important to the finished image, such as:
- Subject
- Setting or environment
- Colors
- Lighting
- Mood or atmosphere
- Visual or photographic style
- Camera angle or composition
Example Prompt:
A handmade ceramic coffee mug on a light wood table beside a folded linen napkin, soft morning window light, neutral colors, clean lifestyle product photography, viewed at a slight angle.
Pro Tip: Describe the visual result you want as clearly as possible. Including details about the subject, setting, lighting, colors, and style can help Image Generator create an image that better matches your intended Batch workflow.
Step 6: Choose an Aspect ratio that matches the shape and composition you want for the generated image.
Step 7: Select Generate.
Your new image will appear in the preview and will automatically be saved under Image Generations in your Image Library.
Important Note: A rejected or unsafe prompt does not create or save an image.
Step 8: When you're ready to use the image, select Add to Batch.
Add More Images to Your Batch
Step 9: After selecting Add to Batch, you'll return to the Add Images screen. Continue adding any other images you want to include in your batch before you begin editing.
From the Add Images screen, you can add images from your computer, search Stock Images, create additional images with Image Generator, or drag and drop files directly into the batch.
Create Additional Image Options
To create another AI-generated image, select Image Generator again from the Add Images screen. Adjust Variation, revise your prompt, or choose another aspect ratio, repeating Steps 5–7.
Pro Tip: Make all intended changes to your prompt, aspect ratio, and variation before selecting Generate. Each newly generated image uses 5 credits. Generating a separate image after each adjustment will use additional credits.
Add and View Previous Image Generations
You can also add images you've already created with Image Generator. From the Add Images screen, select Image Generator, then open Image Generations.
To add a single image, select the image, then choose Add to Batch.
To add multiple generated images, select Select, choose the images you want to use, then select Add to Batch.
Select an image again to deselect it, or choose Cancel Select to clear the selection.
Important Note: Viewing, selecting, or reusing an existing image from Image Generations does not use additional credits. Credits are only used when you select Generate and a new image is created.
Continue Editing Your Images in Batch
Step 10: Once you've finished adding images, return to your Batch workspace and continue editing with the Batch tool you selected.
- Batch Classic Editor: Apply supported standard edits across your images.
- Batch AI Editor: Apply supported AI Editing tools or AI Artsy effects to your images.
- Batch Background Remover: Remove and replace the backgrounds of your images.
Important Note: Images added after you've already applied edits to your batch will not automatically inherit those existing edits.
Important Note: Images added to one Batch tool do not carry over to another. If you switch Batch tools, you'll need to add your images again.
How Image Generator Credits Work With Batch Editing
Creating an image from a Batch workflow uses the same Image Generator credits as generating an image anywhere else in BeFunky.
- Each newly generated image uses 5 credits.
- Changing your prompt, Aspect ratio, or Variation does not use credits until you select Generate and a new image is created.
- Viewing, selecting, or reusing an existing image from Image Generations does not use additional credits.
- BeFunky Plus includes 1,000 Subscription Credits per month for use with Image Generator.
- BeFunky Pro includes 5,000 Subscription Credits per month for use with Image Generator and supported credit-based Pro Batch tools.
Important Note: Generating an image with Image Generator and processing that image with Batch AI Editor or Batch Background Remover are separate credit-based actions. If you generate an image and then process it with one of these Pro Batch tools, credits are used for both actions.
Standard edits made with Batch Classic Editor do not use credits. For more information about credit usage, see How Image Generator Credits Work with BeFunky Plus or How Credits Work in BeFunky Pro.
