BeFunky Plus and Pro subscriptions include monthly Subscription Credits for using supported AI-powered tools. The tools you can use credits with depend on your subscription.
- BeFunky Plus: Includes 1,000 Subscription Credits per month that can only be used with Image Generator.
- BeFunky Pro: Includes 5,000 Subscription Credits per month that can be used with Image Generator, Batch AI Editor, and Batch Background Remover.
Subscription Credits are always used first. Once your Subscription Credits are exhausted, any available Top-up Credits are used automatically.
Important Note: BeFunky Plus credits can only be used with Image Generator. Processing images with Batch AI Editor or Batch Background Remover requires a BeFunky Pro subscription and uses Pro credits.
How Are Image Generator Credits Used?
Image Generator uses 5 credits for each newly generated image. This applies to both BeFunky Plus and Pro accounts.
Credits are used whenever you generate a new image, regardless of where Image Generator is accessed in BeFunky. Image Generator is available from several areas of the app, including:
- Photo Editor
- Graphic Designer
- Image Manager
- Background Remover
- Sky Replacer
- Batch Classic Editor
- Batch AI Editor
- Batch Background Remover
No matter where Image Generator is opened, creating a new image uses 5 credits.
Changing your prompt, Aspect ratio, or Variation does not use credits by itself. Credits are used when you select Generate and a new image is created.
Viewing or saving an existing image from Image Generations does not use additional credits. If the requested image variation has already been generated, a notification will appear and no additional credits will be used.
Pro Tip: Make all intended changes to your prompt, aspect ratio, and variation before selecting Generate. Each newly generated image uses 5 credits, so generating a separate image after each adjustment will use additional credits.
How Are BeFunky Plus Credits Used?
BeFunky Plus includes 1,000 Subscription Credits each month. Plus credits work the same way as Pro Subscription Credits, with one important difference: they can only be used with Image Generator.
This means Plus credits can be used whenever you create a new image with Image Generator in an area of BeFunky available with your subscription. Standard photo editing and regular Batch Classic Editor editing do not use credits.

How Are BeFunky Pro Credits Used?
BeFunky Pro includes 5,000 Subscription Credits each month. Pro credits can be used with Image Generator as well as supported AI-powered Batch editing tools.
Credit usage by tool:
- Image Generator: 5 credits per newly generated image
- Batch Background Remover: 1 credit per image
- Batch AI Editor (AI Editing Tools): 1 credit per image each time the image is processed
- Batch AI Editor (AI Artsy Effects): 3 credits per image each time the image is processed
When using Batch AI Editor or Batch Background Remover, the number of credits used depends on the number of images processed and the edits applied. Reprocessing an image can use additional credits.
Important Note: Using Image Generator within a Batch workflow and processing the generated image are separate credit-based actions. For example, generating one image uses 5 credits. If that image is then processed with a Batch AI Editor AI Editing tool, an additional 1 credit is used.
