BeFunky's Image Enhancer makes it easy to improve the overall look of your photo with a single tool. It automatically adjusts key image details, such as lighting, color, contrast, and overall balance, to help create a more polished result.
Image Enhancer is a great place to start when a photo looks dull, flat, too dark, or just needs a quick overall improvement before making additional edits.

Open the Image Enhancer
Step 1: Open the Photo Editor and upload the image you'd like to enhance.
Step 2: Select Image Enhancer from the Essentials section of the editing tools.
Image Enhancer will automatically analyze your photo and apply adjustments to improve its overall appearance.
Adjust the Enhancement
Once the enhancement has been applied, review your image and adjust the Amount setting to control the strength of the effect.
Step 3: Drag the Amount slider left or right to adjust the strength of the enhancement. Choose a stronger enhancement or a more subtle result based on your original image and the look you'd like to achieve.
Apply the Enhancement to Selected Areas
Step 4 (optional): Use the tool in Select Mode. Click on the effect settings and click the Select panel.
Use the If you don't want to enhance the entire image, use the available selection options to control where the enhancement is applied. Depending on the available settings, you can apply the effect to specific areas of the image, such as the foreground or background.
Review Your Results
Before continuing, take a moment to compare the enhanced image with the original (Press the letter O on your keyboard to toggle between the original and edited version). Look at the overall lighting, colors, highlights, shadows, and image detail.
Image Enhancer works well as a starting point for many types of photos, including:
- Landscape and outdoor photos that appear dull or flat.
- Photos with uneven or poorly balanced lighting.
- Images with muted colors or limited contrast.
- Everyday photos that need a quick overall improvement.
Pro Tip: Image Enhancer is designed to improve the overall appearance of your photo. If you're trying to correct a specific issue, such as significant blur, image noise, or a low-resolution image, another editing tool may provide better results.
Step 5: When you're happy with the result, select Apply to keep your changes.
Step 6: After applying Image Enhancer, you can continue editing your photo with any of BeFunky's other Photo Editor tools. If you're done, be sure to save your project!
For example, you may want to make additional color or lighting adjustments, crop or resize your image, or use a more specialized tool such as Deblur, Denoise, or Upscale when your photo has a specific issue you'd like to correct.
