Using the Eye Color Tool

If you've ever wanted to try out a new eye color or enhance your current color, Eye Color is the tool for you. You’ll find the Eye Color tool in the Touch Up section of the editor.

This tool is only available for BeFunky Plus subscribers. Upgrade your subscription here!

Step 1: First, upload your photo to the Photo Editor.  Go into the Touch Up section and select Eye Color from the Eyes heading.

Step 2:  Choose a color from the Color Picker. You'll see several pre-selected swatches or you can custom choose one by clicking the first box.

Step 3: Adjust the Strength, Brush Size, and Brush Hardness by dragging the sliders or inputting the percentage you'd like. Brush Size determines the surface area of your tool, while Brush Hardness determines how soft the outlines of your edits will be. A lower hardness level will provide a more feathered appearance. Strength changes the intensity of the tool, and can be changed after you apply the edit.

Pro Tip: Increasing the Strength will provide more color. You may want to work with a slightly lower strength or a slightly muted version of your color to achieve a more natural eye color.

Step 4: Carefully click and drag your mouse to start painting over the eyes in your photo.

Pro Tip: If you apply eye color outside your intended area, use the Erase tool to remove part of the color.

Step 5: Click the Apply button to save your changes.

Step 6: Continue adding to and editing your creation. If you're done, be sure to save your project!
