Remove Parts of Your Graphics

By removing parts of graphics, you no longer need to waste time searching for just the right one to fit your project. After you've selected a graphic, you can convert it to an image and then remove the parts you don't want. After that, save it for future use and build your own custom library! Follow along below to learn more.

Step 1: Add a graphic to the canvas.

Step 2: Before converting, make any changes to the Graphic Properties that you need. Most importantly, if your graphic contains multiple colors, you'll want to select your desired colors now.

Step 3: Select the graphic, right-click, and select Save to Image Manager from the drop-down menu. This converts your graphic into an image.

Step 4: Delete the graphic layer from the canvas.

Step 5: You should already be in the Image Manager, if not, navigate back to it and add the converted graphic to the canvas as an image layer.

Pro Tip: To verify that you are working with the image and not the graphic, check the title of the properties menu.  The converted graphic will open a Image Properties menu, and the original graphic will open a Graphic Properties menu.

Step 6: From the Image Properties menu, select Cutout to remove desired areas of the graphic. Select Apply when you've finished removing the parts.

Step 7:  Move, resize, and rotate the converted graphic as desired.

Step 8: To save your custom graphic for future use, you can right-click it on the canvas and again Save to Image Manager. Once it's in the Image Manager, hover over the customized graphic and click the icon in the bottom left of the thumbnail to Save to BeFunky.

Step 9: Continue adding to and editing your creation. If you're done, be sure to save your project!
