While in the Photo Editor, Graphic Designer or Collage Maker you have several options to save your work. This article will take you through how to save your work to your computer - either as an image or as a project. You might also want to check out this article on how to save to BeFunky, so your work is with you wherever you go!
Important Note: If you are not able to see the Save button, try increasing your screen resolution. You need to have a minimum 1024x768 pixels screen size to properly use BeFunky.
Saving as an Image
Step 1: Click on the Save drop-down menu located at the top of your screen.
Step 2a: Click the Computer option from your drop-down menu. This will open a window where you can name your file, change the format from JPG, PNG or PDF or move the Quality slider for resolution and file size settings.
Pro Tip: Once you have removed the background of an image, we recommend saving as a PNG. This will automatically detect any transparencies in the image and keep them transparent. This is ideal for saving images as layers to use later, or for printing. If saved as a JPG, any transparent background will be white when uploaded.
Step 2b: Clicking the Save button will start the download process. According to your browser settings, it will open a window asking you where to save the file on your computer OR it will start downloading to a predefined location automatically.
Pro Tip: Most browsers default to saving in your computer's Downloads folder. To change this, check out How Do I Change The Download Location Of My Images?
Saving as a Project
You can also save as a project to your computer. This saves as a BFD file, and keeps layers intact. From the Save menu, click on Save as a Project, and select Computer.
