Use the Blur Edges tool to only blur the edges of your image instead of applying it to the entire canvas. It can be used to create a blurring vignette that draws attention to your subject and can be found in our Edit tools.
Step 1: To get started, open your image in the Photo Editor. Next, go into the Edit menu and choose Blur Edges.
Step 2: Choose Size from the Blur tool menu. You can control the intensity of your photo blurring using the Blur Amount slider.
Step 3: Use the Shift Vertical and Shift Horizontal sliders to adjust the focus of the blur effect.
Step 4: The second option in the Blur tool menu is Select, which gives you the option to blur the Foreground, Background, Whole Image, or selected parts of your image. Choose Select from the menu, then adjust Brush Size, Brush Hardness, and Brush Strength. Paint over the parts of the image you want in focus to isolate your subject. You can also toggle the Remove or Keep button to add or remove the blur effect.
Step 5: Click Apply to save your changes.
Step 6: Continue adding to and editing your creation. If you're done, be sure to save your project!
