How To Apply Partial Effects Using Paint Mode

Using the Paint Mode, you are able to apply a specific filter/effect on a particular area of an image. There are two different ways you can apply a partial effect using Paint Mode.

The first option will have you apply the effect to the entire image, then use Paint Mode to erase unwanted areas:

Step 1 - Click the effect to apply it to the entire image (do not click the blue check mark yet)

Step 2 - To access Paint Mode, click into the effect settings, and select 'Paint'.

Step 3 - Adjust your brush size, brush hardness, and brush strength.

Step 4 - Begin painting the areas you wish to not have the effect applied.

Step 5 - Click the blue checkmark to apply your effect.

The other option will have you manually paint the effect onto the desired area:

Step 1 - Click the effect to apply it to the entire image (do not click the blue check mark yet)

Step 2 - To access Paint Mode, click into the effect settings, and select 'Paint'.

Step 3 - Select the Reverse button to reverse the applied effect.

Step 4 - Adjust your brush size, brush hardness, and brush strength.

Step 5 - Begin painting on the effect in the areas you wish to apply the effect.

Step 6 - When you've painted your desired area, select the blue check mark to apply the effect.
