Replacing Your Sky
Step 1: Choose an image with a visible sky that you wish to edit. Higher contrast or visible skylines work best, but most sky images should work well!
Step 2: Select the Sky Replacer tool in the Edit section of the left-hand menu. Then, select Change Sky. Choose between the replacement options of Transparent, Color, and Images.
- Transparent: Replace the existing sky with a transparent area.
- Color: Use the Color Settings to change the sky color and more. You can also change the lighting on the edge to add realism. Use the sliders to manipulate the edge settings. Select the first box to open the Color Picker for a custom color, and opacity adjustment.
- Images: Click Select Sky and you will be offered a curated selection of usable sky images to quickly replace with, but you are not limited to these. Search our stock images or even upload your own images from your computer.
Step 3: Once you select your sky image, you can make further edits to the effect by selecting the options button on the sky again or by clicking the back arrow and choosing Edit Sky.
- Colors: As it sounds, this menu allows you to change the saturation, temperature, and more. You can also change the lighting on the edge to add realism.
- Adjust: Here you can manipulate the new sky by adjusting the edge and its hardness, as well as the size, position, and blur amount. You can even use the slider to match the colors to your original image to help blend it.
- Click and Drag: Click and drag the sky on the canvas to adjust the position of your new sky.
Step 4: Click the back arrows to get to the Apply menu. Make changes to the sky or foreground by clicking Edit Foreground. These menus have the same options as above, in Step 3.
Step 5: Select Apply to save your changes. If you're done, be sure to save your project!
